Newcastle Airport Motorhome/ Campervan Hire
When you collect your Easirent Motorhome/ Campervan from Newcastle Airport, there are a number of nearby attractions that you can enjoy before setting off on your road trip. Newcastle Airport has something for everyone within just a few mile radius of itself, you can even check into the Aerospa for some last minute pampering before your set off!
Just over a mile away, Northumbria Helicopters offer helicopter rides that allow you to explore the local area from above, reported to be an excellent and worthwhile experience. A few more miles and you are into town and can enjoy the whole host of entertainment that the city has to offer. The Boulevard Show Bar is a great night out, with fantastic cabaret entertainment and atmosphere, it receives five stars all round. The Tyneside Cinema is a wonderful traditional cinema to visit, or why not enjoy the Urban Night Feast for tasty street food and a bustling ambience. Other city attractions include The Great North Museum, The Discovery Museum, The Theatre Royal, and The Stand Comedy Club, amongst other things.
Jesmond Dene Park is a beautiful nature park that is relaxing to walk around, with a small waterfall and a children’s petting zoo. This is a wonderful little piece of calm in an otherwise busy city. Newcastle City Tours are private tours around the city of Newcastle, Hadrian’s Wall, Durham Cathedral as well as the Castles of Northumberland. For those who enjoy history then these tours are a fantastic addition to your Motorhome/ Campervan holiday.
Durham’s Christmas Market
Plan a long weekend away to Durham for an award winning traditional Christmas market. Collect your Motorhome/ Campervan from our Newcastle depot and set off for Durham’s Christmas Market. Commencing Friday 4th December for three days, it will have a wide range of festive entertainment for all the family in and around the World Heritage Site of the Cathedral and the Castle. The somewhat massive, heated Craft and Gift Marquee will feature over 190 stalls which take place across all three days. The opening times are Friday 4th December from 10am to 6pm, Saturday 5th December from 9am to 6pm and Sunday 6th December from 10am to 4:30pm.
In the Cathedral Cloisters, a Local Food Producers Market featuring another 30+ traders will be open each day. In the Cathedral itself, Carols for all services take place on both Saturday and Sunday. Weekend entertainment including live reindeer, children’s lantern procession, a static falconry display, children’s arts and crafts in the World Heritage Site Visitor Centre, and a children’s entertainer. There will also be a wide range of local entertainers and musicians throughout the city centre. There is so much to do and see in Durham, your long weekend will be a blast!
