The bus tour swings in past Holyrood, home to the Scottish parliament, with views of the buildings modern architecture, this attraction also offers a free guided tour if you’re lucky enough and you reach this attraction when parliament is in session, you can observe the proceedings from the public gallery.
If you then proceed back to the departure point which is the famous Scott monument in the heart of Princes Street, the monument was built in 1846 to commemorate Edinburgh born writer Sir Walter Scott, renowned for his historical novels. The views from the summit overlooking the capital and surrounding countryside are well worth the 287 steps to be climbed.
