The drive is approximately 250 miles to Dusseldorf, travelling through Belgium. If your trip includes the first week in September you could see one of the biggest motorhome shows in the world which is held every year in Dusseldorf.
Cologne is one of Germany’s finest metropolitan cities and one of the main attractions is the magnificent cathedral.
Try a day cruise
Rudesheim is one of the most attractive towns along the river and home of the world famous Asbach-Uralt brandy. Visit the lively taverns and wine bars that line the famous Drosselgasse. Also in Rudesheim is Siefried’s Music Museum or travel to the Spas of Bad Kreuznach.
Take a 6 hour evening cruise with evening meal to see the firework display and other boats, all illuminated. The boat visits various towns, all illuminated. Please check dates as this festival is normally July-September.
