Day 1: Arrive & Explore Windermere & Ambleside

  • Lake Windermere Cruise: Take a boat ride to Ambleside or explore by kayak.
  • Orrest Head Hike (easy, 20-30 min): Stunning first views of the Lake District.
  • Ambleside: Explore the town, see Stock Ghyll Force waterfall.
  • Stay: Park up at Low Wray Campsite (by the lake) or Park Cliffe (great facilities).

Day 2: Coniston Water & Tarn Hows

🚐 Drive: Windermere to Coniston (40 min)

Highlights:

  • Tarn Hows: A short, beautiful circular walk with great reflections.
  • Coniston Water: Try paddleboarding, kayaking, or take the historic steam yacht Gondola.

Day 3: Langdale Valley & Great Langdale

Day 4: Keswick & Derwentwater
