Job Title: Motorhome Technician/ Valeter

Location: Easicampers 1a Drovers Road, Broxburn, Edinburgh, EH52 5ND

Job Type: Full-time (Including Alternate Weekends) 45 Hours

Salary: 29,500

Job Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and hands-on Motorhome Technician with at least two years of experience working with motorhomes or campervans. This role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a strong technical background, and is passionate about leisure vehicles. You’ll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of motorhomes, ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Must be also able to clean vehicles to a high standard. Our leisure vehicles are like a hotel on wheels. Everything needs to be immaculate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out repairs, servicing, and maintenance on motorhomes, campervans, and leisure vehicles.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues.
  • Order and fit parts from body shops and suppliers as needed.
  • Work efficiently under high-pressure situations to meet deadlines.
  • Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in compliance with industry regulations.
  • Work on alternate weekends as part of a scheduled rota.
  • Provide excellent customer service and technical support when required.
  • Be able to valet vehicles to a high standard

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working on motorhomes, campervans, or similar leisure vehicles.
  • Strong hands-on mechanical, electrical, and bodywork repair skills.
  • Experience in ordering and fitting parts from body shops and suppliers.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Our vehicles return and go back out on most days during the summer months.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Passionate about motorhomes, campervans, and the leisure vehicle industry.
  • A full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential).

6. **Problem Solving:** – Proactively address challenges, finding innovative solutions to maintain and improvoperations. – Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the depot Manager, developing strategies to reach organizational goals, and ensuring that all tasks given are completed in a timely and efficient manner. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication and customer service skills, the ability to work to busy schedules, and a understanding of motorhomes. The ideal candidate will also have previous experience within the vehicle hire industry, preferably within the motorhome/campervan sector, we are looking for someone with a passion for motorhomes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the depot Manager, developing strategies to reach organizational goals, and ensuring that all tasks given are completed in a timely and efficient manner. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication and customer service skills, the ability to work to busy schedules, and a strong understanding of the company’s objectives. The ideal candidate will also have previous experience within the vehicle hire industry, preferably excellent knowledge of motorhomes and campervans. Applicant must be computer literate have a knowledge of Office (Excel and Word) , be keen on social media ( facebook, blogs, Instagram,) be able to use AI interface for promoting the business.

As assistant manager you will be required to carry out yard duties, checking vehicles in and out, preparing vehicles for rental, and also delivering vehicles.

Must have valid UK Driving licence with no more than 6 points and been driving for 2 years or longer.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the manager to achieve business objectives.
  • Deal with customer enquiries both over the phone and face to face, turning leads into bookings
  • Following the process of a hire from booking the client to preparing the vehicle and testing use to customer aftercare when the hire has concluded.
  • Monitor social media for the location on a day to day basis, posting relevant con.
  • Deal with daily reports to ensure smooth running of the depot.
